1 – Coffee or Tea Shop

This may sound a little boring but coffee is a great first date. A little trick I like to spice it up is to find somewhere that has some special recipe or story so that you have a conversation opener (like a cat cafe). The lack of pressure that can come from more intimate dates like dinner can be a great first step.

2 – Amusement Park

A scary ride is a great excuse to cuddle up and is great for all you adrenaline seekers out there. A lot of parks have more than just intense rides if that is not your speed and if nothing else it can be a great place to people-watch. A great way to kill an afternoon with your partner sober.

3 – The Beach

This is mostly a summer idea but the beach is a great place to get romantic. Swimming, chatting, or a picnic are great ways to wow this summer. For bonus points pack some food you put some effort into making, it shows you really care.

4 – The Movies

Channel your inner teenager and catch a matinee with your date. Save this one for a 2^nd or 3^rd date though because you won’t be able to do much talking once you are in there but there is something to be said about snuggling up with a pail of popcorn.
